We are so excited to announce the opening of Sweetwater's very own retreat house. "Sweetwater House" will open September,2007 and will host weekly scrapbook retreats. Our beautiful three story house was built in 1906. We are currently renovating every square inch of the home to provide you with the most comfortable, relaxing environment for a scrapbooking get-away.
Location - Sweetwater House is located in our small rural hometown of Fort Morgan, Colorado. It is very conveniently located to Denver International Airport (1 hour northeast), and in close proximity to all Colorado has to offer - from the mountains to the wonderful weather to great shopping.
The house sleeps fifteen, and all food, accommodations, classes, and project materials are included.
Food - We will provide you with 5 catered meals, snacks, and drinks.

The house consists of four rooms and sleeps 15 people. Each room has new comfortable twin size beds.
The Loft - Located on the third floor the loft is decorated in our very own Sunwashed Fabric. It has a cottage look and will sleep 6 people.
Rooms 1 and 3- Located on the second floor Rooms 1 and 3 will sleep 4 and 3 people. They will be decorated in whites and tans.
Room 2 - Room 2 is located on the second floor and sleeps 2 people. This room will be decorated in black and chocolate brown colors.
Classes - Be prepared to energize your creativity and passion for scrapbooking. We will be offering classes throughout the day on Thursday and Friday. This retreat is for everyone - from seasoned scrapbookers to beginners, there will be something for everyone to enjoy! All project materials are included in the price of the retreat. The best part is that you will be leaving with completed albums! Below are photos of the projects we will be creating, along with the photos you need to bring to complete the album. We suggest converting your photos to black and white- not only does it give your albums a timeless appeal, but it helps with color compatibility.
8x8- This album uses 8"x8", 4 1/2" x 8", and 3"x8" pages. Throughout this album you will use your favorite scribble border on every page to give the album some continuity. This album can fit a wide variety of photo choices - family, kids, pets, favorite photos, activities, etc. I would choose one area and bring photos that encompass the category chosen. For this project you will need:

Words- . This album uses one word to describe one picture. Each 2 page spread will include the chosen word and one picture that fits that word. You will need nine 3"x 5.5" (landscape) photos. One photo for each of the following words:

Baby Album- Make this baby album for any baby in your life - your own child, niece, nephew, etc. You could even make this album for yourself using your baby pictures. These albums will use paper and embellishments
from our new giggles boy and girl collections. For this album, you need 5" x 3" portrait photos.
US- Think of a couple of people that you would like to create an album about. For my album l used my husband and myself. Just make sure you have enough pictures of that couple to complete the album with. We take so many pictures of the kids and not of ourselves that it was kind of a stretch for myself to find enough pictures! Please bring eight 2"x2" pictures.
Journal- This quick project makes a great gift, or can be used by yourself to jot down everday memories! This journal uses doodling templates, stickers, and journaling tags to create and fun project. You will not need to bring any photos for this project.
Payment - The cost of the retreat is $299.00. A $150 deposit will be charged once you sign up for the retreat. The remaining $149.00 will be charged two weeks prior to the reservation date.
Cancellation- If you need to cancel your reservation date you can apply $100 of your deposit to another date within 6 months of the original reservation. The cancellation must be done 2 weeks prior to the reservation date.
